【EMI學生英語力培育活動】114年12月30日 2025 中山醫大盃英語口說大賽決賽
一、活動重點及目的:
本次「2025 中山醫大盃英語口說大賽」由教務處 EMI 中心攜手艾爾科技股份有限公司共同辦理,旨在提升學生英語口說能力與學習動機,並鼓勵學生善用數位學習工具進行自主練習。透過 MyET 英語口說練習軟體,協助學生精進發音、語調與流暢度,培養學生在全英語學習環境(EMI)中自信表達的能力,進一步強化本校雙語學習成效。
The 2025 Chung Shan Medical University English Speaking Competition was jointly organized by the Office of Academic Affairs EMI Center and L Labs Inc. The competition aimed to enhance students’ English speaking proficiency and learning motivation, while encouraging the effective use of digital learning tools for self-directed practice. Through the MyET English speaking practice software, students were supported in improving their pronunciation, intonation, and fluency, thereby developing confidence in expressing themselves in an English-medium instruction (EMI) environment and further strengthening the university’s bilingual learning outcomes.
二、活動特色及執行情形:
本次競賽決賽採用 MyET 系統進行,設計三種口說模式,包含跟讀模式、朗讀模式與覆誦模式,全面檢核學生的聽說能力。競賽內容選用 CEFR A2–B1 等級之三篇英語文章或對話,每場競賽約 18–30 句,參賽者可於三種模式中重複進行測驗,累積最佳成績,並以決賽成績總和進行排名。
比賽開始前由艾爾科技股份有限公司徐經理進行電腦版 MyET 系統操作說明,並指導參賽者完成帳號登入、耳機麥克風調整及賽前練習,確保設備設定達到最佳狀態後,再說明比賽規則與流程並正式進行競賽。活動進行期間因電腦當機及環境音等因素,對部分學生之作答體驗造成影響,後續亦蒐集學生回饋意見,作為未來活動設備與場地規劃之改善依據;整體仍完成以科技工具進行英語口說能力檢測之競賽目的。
The final round of the competition was conducted using the MyET system and featured three speaking modes: shadowing, reading aloud, and repetition. These modes comprehensively assessed students’ listening and speaking abilities. The competition content consisted of three English passages or dialogues at CEFR A2–B1 levels, with each session comprising approximately 18–30 sentences. Participants were allowed to repeat the tests across the three modes to accumulate their best scores, and rankings were determined based on the total scores achieved in the final round.
Prior to the competition, Mr. Hsu, Manager at L Labs Inc., provided an orientation on the operation of the desktop-based MyET system and guided participants through account login, headset and microphone setup, and pre-competition practice to ensure optimal equipment performance. He then explained the competition rules and procedures before the official start of the contest.
During the event, issues such as computer malfunctions and ambient noise affected the testing experience of some participants. Participant feedback was subsequently collected and will serve as a reference for improving equipment setup and venue arrangements in future events. Overall, the competition successfully achieved its objective of assessing English speaking proficiency through the use of technological tools.
