一、活動重點及目的：

本次「醫護學術英文寫作－進階班」由知識樹文教顧問有限公司 James 外師授課，課程以強化學生學術英文寫作與文章組織能力為核心，延續基礎班所學，進一步從句子建構、段落組織、文獻引用及文章架構等面向，培養學生完整的學術寫作能力。
課程內容涵蓋名詞子句（Noun Clauses）、介係詞（Prepositions）、段落架構、文獻引用與學術倫理，以及主動語態（Active Voice）與被動語態（Passive Voice）等主題。透過句型分析、段落建構、文章重組及寫作實務練習，引導學生提升英文表達的精確性、邏輯性與連貫性，並建立正確引用文獻及組織學術文章的能力，為未來撰寫研究報告及學術論文奠定基礎。

The Medical and Healthcare Academic English Writing – Advanced Course was taught by James, an international instructor from Knowledge Tree Education Consulting Co., Ltd. Building on the foundation established in the previous course, this course focused on strengthening students’ academic English writing and organizational skills. It further developed students’ abilities in sentence construction, paragraph organization, academic citation, and overall writing structure.
Course topics included noun clauses, prepositions, paragraph structure, academic citation and integrity, and the use of active and passive voice. Through sentence analysis, paragraph construction, text reorganization, and practical writing exercises, students were guided to improve the accuracy, logical organization, and coherence of their English writing. The course also helped students develop proper citation practices and academic writing skills, laying a solid foundation for future research reports and academic papers.

二、活動特色及執行情形：

本次進階班共辦理5堂課程，採講授、範例分析、寫作練習、段落重組及教師回饋等方式進行，課程由句子層次逐步延伸至段落及完整文章架構，強化學生實際應用學術英文的能力。
課程首先延續基礎班所學，複習連接詞及正式學術用語，並進一步介紹名詞子句與介係詞的運用，透過句型分析及改寫練習，協助學生掌握較複雜的句型結構，提升英文表達的完整性與精確度。接著進入段落寫作，透過主題句、支持論述及結論句的安排，以及轉承語與連接詞的運用，引導學生將零散句子組織成具邏輯性與連貫性的學術段落。
在學術寫作實務方面，課程介紹文獻資料的蒐集、引用及學術倫理，並透過直接引用、改寫（paraphrasing）及摘要（summarizing）等方式，讓學生實際練習將參考資料適當融入文章，培養正確引用與避免抄襲的觀念。同時，課程進一步說明主動語態與被動語態在學術文章中的使用情境，並透過研究文章範例分析與句型改寫，提升學生學術表達的專業性。
最後，課程著重於文章整體架構與內容排序，透過文章重組、段落排序、作業檢討及寫作練習，引導學生掌握文章起承轉合及論述發展的邏輯，並透過教師即時回饋與同儕交流，協助學生檢視及修正自身寫作內容。
本次進階班由句子建構、段落組織逐步延伸至文獻引用及完整文章架構，透過理論與實務並重的教學方式，提升學生學術英文寫作的組織能力、邏輯思考及專業表達能力，並為後續研究報告與學術論文撰寫建立良好基礎。

The Advanced Course consisted of five sessions and incorporated lectures, example analysis, writing exercises, paragraph reorganization, and instructor feedback. The course progressively advanced from sentence-level skills to paragraph development and overall academic writing structure, strengthening students’ ability to apply academic English in practice.
The course began by reviewing linking words and formal academic language covered in the previous course, followed by an introduction to the use of noun clauses and prepositions. Through sentence analysis and rewriting exercises, students learned to use more complex sentence structures and improve the completeness and precision of their English expression. The course then moved on to paragraph writing, introducing the organization of topic sentences, supporting ideas, and concluding sentences, as well as the use of transitions and linking words to help students organize individual sentences into logical and coherent academic paragraphs.
In the area of academic writing practice, the course introduced the collection and citation of reference materials as well as academic integrity. Students practiced incorporating sources into their writing through direct quotation, paraphrasing, and summarizing, developing an understanding of proper citation practices and plagiarism prevention. The course also addressed the use of active and passive voice in academic writing. Through analysis of research-based writing examples and sentence-rewriting exercises, students further developed their professional academic writing skills.
Finally, the course focused on overall writing structure and the organization of ideas. Through text reorganization, paragraph sequencing, assignment review, and writing exercises, students learned to develop clear logical progression and coherence throughout an academic text. Instructor feedback and peer interaction also helped students review and revise their own writing.
Overall, the Advanced Course progressed from sentence construction and paragraph organization to academic citation and overall writing structure. Through a combination of theoretical instruction and practical application, the course strengthened students’ academic English writing, logical thinking, organizational, and professional communication skills, providing a solid foundation for future research reports and academic papers.
