一、活動重點及目的：

本活動以國際新聞閱讀、英語討論及觀點分享為核心，透過公共衛生、國際政治及地緣政治等議題，引導學生關注全球時事，拓展國際視野。活動採全英語方式進行，透過新聞導讀、小組討論及觀點分享，培養學生英語表達、批判性思考及跨文化溝通能力，並藉由比較不同國家與文化背景下對國際議題的不同觀點，提升學生對多元文化的理解與尊重，以及以英語進行理性討論與交流的能力。

This activity focused on international news reading, English discussion, and opinion sharing. Through topics related to public health, international politics, and geopolitics, students were encouraged to follow current global affairs and broaden their international perspectives. Conducted entirely in English, the activity incorporated news presentations, group discussions, and opinion sharing to develop students’ English communication, critical thinking, and intercultural communication skills. By comparing perspectives on international issues across different countries and cultural contexts, students were also encouraged to develop greater understanding and respect for cultural diversity and to communicate their ideas rationally in English.

二、活動特色及執行情形：

本活動採全英語新聞導讀與議題討論方式進行，由社長及幹部帶領社員閱讀近期國際新聞，介紹新聞背景、重要內容及相關專業詞彙，再透過社員觀點分享與討論，鼓勵學生以英語表達個人看法。

本次活動選擇公共衛生與地緣政治等不同類型的國際新聞議題，帶領學生學習 hantavirus、respiratory symptoms、medical evacuation、Strait of Hormuz、ceasefire、drones 及 blockade 等進階新聞與專業英語詞彙，並實際運用於議題討論中。透過多元觀點交流，學生能從跨文化及國際情勢角度分析新聞事件，展現英語實際應用、批判性思考及跨文化溝通能力。

活動共有11位學生參與，學生回饋表示全英語討論環境有助於克服開口說英語的心理障礙，並能在討論國際議題的過程中增進英語表達能力與國際視野。

The activity was conducted through English news presentations and issue-based discussions. Student leaders introduced recent international news, explained the background and key information of each news story, and introduced relevant professional vocabulary. Students then shared their opinions and participated in discussions, encouraging them to express their ideas in English.

The activity covered a variety of international topics, including public health and geopolitics. Students learned and applied advanced news and professional English vocabulary, such as hantavirus, respiratory symptoms, medical evacuation, Strait of Hormuz, ceasefire, drones, and blockade during the discussions. Through the exchange of diverse perspectives, students analyzed international news from cross-cultural and global perspectives, demonstrating their ability to apply English in real-world discussions, think critically, and communicate across cultures.

A total of 11 students participated in the activity. Student feedback indicated that the all-English discussion environment helped them overcome their hesitation about speaking English and enhanced their English communication skills and international awareness through discussions of global issues.
