【EMI教師增能講座】AI 輔助數位教材製作工作坊
一、活動重點及目的:
本次「AI輔助數位教材製作工作坊」邀請中國生產力中心張禕中老師擔任講師,結合生成式AI技術與EMI教學需求,協助教師掌握AI工具於數位教材設計與製作之實務應用。課程以提升教師數位教學能力及教材製作品質為核心,介紹如何運用ChatGPT、NotebookLM、Padlet、SurveyCake等AI與數位工具,從課程內容規劃、教材設計、互動活動到學習成效蒐集,建立完整的AI輔助教材製作流程,降低教材開發負擔,同時提升EMI課程之教學效率與學生學習體驗。此外,為鼓勵教師將工作坊所學實際應用於教學,本中心同步辦理「中山醫學大學第一屆 EMI Plus AI 輔助數位教材製作競賽」,鼓勵參與教師完成具創新性與實用性的EMI數位教材作品,透過競賽促進教學交流與經驗分享,進一步推廣AI融入EMI教學之創新實踐,形塑校園智慧教學發展氛圍。
The AI-Assisted Digital Teaching Material Development Workshop invited Mr. Yi-Chung Chang from the China Productivity Center as the instructor. The workshop integrated generative AI technologies with the needs of English as a Medium of Instruction (EMI) to help faculty members develop practical skills in designing and producing digital teaching materials using AI tools. Focusing on enhancing instructors' digital teaching competencies and the quality of instructional materials, the workshop introduced the use of AI-powered and digital platforms—including ChatGPT, NotebookLM, Padlet, and SurveyCake—to support every stage of the instructional design process, from course planning and material development to classroom interaction and learning assessment. By establishing a comprehensive AI-assisted workflow for digital content creation, the workshop aimed to reduce the workload associated with material development while enhancing teaching effectiveness and students' learning experiences in EMI courses. To encourage participants to apply what they learned in practice, the EMI Resource Center also organized the First CSMU EMI Plus AI-Assisted Digital Teaching Material Competition. Faculty members were invited to develop innovative and practical EMI digital teaching materials and submit them to the competition. Through this initiative, the Center promoted the sharing of teaching practices and innovative instructional approaches, encouraged the integration of AI into EMI teaching, and fostered a campus culture of digital innovation and smart teaching.
二、活動特色及執行情形:
本次工作坊採理論講解結合實作演練方式進行,講師逐步示範生成式AI於教材製作各階段之應用,包含運用ChatGPT優化教學腳本、規劃課程內容架構,利用AI生成簡報素材與視覺圖像,並結合AI字幕、自動語音配音或教師自行錄製旁白等功能,快速完成兼具專業性與互動性的數位教材。課程亦介紹NotebookLM進行教材內容整理與知識統整、Padlet作為課堂互動與協作平台,以及SurveyCake設計課後問卷與學習回饋機制,使教師能建立完整的EMI數位教學流程。工作坊期間安排教師實際操作各項AI工具,並完成教材雛形製作,提升教師對生成式AI於EMI課程應用之熟悉度與實作能力。
The workshop combined theoretical instruction with hands-on practice, enabling participants to gain practical experience in applying generative AI to digital teaching material development. The instructor demonstrated how AI tools could be integrated into different stages of instructional design, including using ChatGPT to refine teaching scripts and organize course content, generating presentation materials and visual assets with AI, and producing instructional videos with AI-generated subtitles, AI voiceovers, or instructors' own recorded narration. These applications allowed participants to create professional, engaging, and high-quality digital teaching materials more efficiently. In addition, the workshop introduced NotebookLM for organizing and synthesizing instructional content, Padlet as a platform for classroom interaction and collaborative learning, and SurveyCake for designing post-class surveys and collecting student feedback. Through guided practice sessions, participants operated each AI tool and developed prototype digital teaching materials, strengthening their practical skills and confidence in integrating generative AI into EMI instruction.
