一、活動重點及目的:
為提升職場行政英語應用力,教務處EMI中心特別規劃「國際英語業務職訓系列課程」,包含英文活動企劃班(已結訓)、提升工作效率整合Office軟體實務應用班(已結訓)、與LTTC職工英語班(即將開班),藉以強化本校職員工之英文溝通與相關行政業務工作技能。課程內容包含:
- 學會自我介紹、校園導覽、活動規劃
- 英文Email一把罩
- 開會、簡報、社交全都能開口說
To enhance workplace proficiency in administrative English, the EMI Center of the Office of Academic Affairs has specially designed a series of "International Business English Training Courses." These include the English Event Planning Course (completed), the Improving Work Efficiency with Office Software Application Course (completed), and the LTTC Staff English Course (upcoming), all aimed at strengthening the English communication and administrative skills of university staff.
The course content includes:

二、活動特色及執行情形:
課程初期,講師針對大學活動的規劃與籌備,介紹了重要的步驟與考量因素,並輔以活動類型與實例的表格,協助學員掌握相關詞彙與運用情境。接著,透過選擇活動主題的方式,引導學員使用正確的英文句型,並逐步引入與生活經驗相關的教學內容,強化語言實用性。
課堂中安排分組討論與練習,例如填空題、圖表分析與描述練習,學員需完成內容後進行口說演練,並由講師提供正確答案與語句修正。此外,講師也介紹了常見句型開頭與完整句與片段句的差異,幫助學員建立正確句構觀念。
課程後段,學員需根據自選主題製作簡報,進行約四分鐘的小型英語發表,整合所學內容進行實作演練。整體課程重視互動與實務應用,並透過多元教學策略,引導學員提升英語表達與行政專業語言的整合能力。
In the early stages of the course, the instructor introduced the key steps and considerations involved in planning and organizing university events. This was supported by a table of event types and examples to help students grasp relevant vocabulary and its contextual usage. Next, the instructor guided students through selecting event themes, encouraging them to use correct English sentence structures and gradually incorporating real-life experiences to strengthen the practicality of the language.
The class included group discussions and exercises, such as fill-in-the-blank questions, chart analysis, and description practices. After completing these tasks, students practiced speaking, while the instructor provided correct answers and sentence corrections. The instructor also introduced common sentence starters and explained the differences between complete sentences and sentence fragments, helping students develop a proper understanding of sentence structure.
In the later part of the course, students were asked to create a presentation based on a self-selected topic and give a short, four-minute English presentation, integrating the content they had learned for practical exercises. The course emphasized interaction and practical application, using diverse teaching strategies to guide students in enhancing their English expression and integrating administrative professional language skills.
