【EMI職涯留學講座】114年12月9日美國研究所留學講座

 

一、活動重點及目的:Key Points and Objectives of the Event:

本次講座旨在協助有意申請美國研究所的同學全面了解留學規劃流程,掌握從選校、申請文件準備到簽證與行前安排的完整方向。透過美國在台協會(AIT)文化新聞組 Darian Tai 經理的專業分享,提供最正確、最新且官方視角的申請資訊,協助同學降低申請的不確定性、有效規劃時程,並提升申請競爭力。

This lecture aimed to help students who are interested in applying to graduate programs in the United States gain a comprehensive understanding of the study-abroad planning process. The session covered essential aspects such as school selection, preparation of application documents, visa application, and pre-departure arrangements. Through the professional insights shared by Mr. Darian Tai, Manager of the Press and Cultural Section at the American Institute in Taiwan (AIT), students received the most accurate, up-to-date, and official information. The goal was to reduce uncertainties in the application process, enable effective timeline planning, and enhance students’ competitiveness in their applications.

二、活動特色及執行情形:Event Highlights and Implementation:

講座內容扎實,Darian Tai 經理以清楚易懂的方式,逐步解析美國研究所申請流程,並結合實際案例說明申請策略。活動中除了介紹美國留學趨勢與教育體系,也針對同學最關心的申請五大步驟(選校、財務、文件、簽證、行前準備)做完整剖析。
此外,講者也說明在美維持學生身分的方法及合法工作機會,讓同學對留學生活有更實際的認識。講座最後安排 Q&A 時段,提供現場個別諮詢,同學反應熱烈、積極提問,活動整體參與氣氛良好,達到提升留學知能與規劃能力的目的。

The lecture delivered rich and practical content. Mr. Tai explained the U.S. graduate school application process in a clear and accessible manner, incorporating real cases to illustrate application strategies. In addition to introducing trends in studying in the United States and the structure of U.S. graduate programs, the speaker also conducted an in-depth analysis of the five major steps students are most concerned about: school selection, financial planning, document preparation, visa application, and pre-departure preparation.
Furthermore, Mr. Tai explained how students can maintain their legal student status in the U.S. and the types of work opportunities available, giving participants a more realistic understanding of studying abroad. The session concluded with a Q&A segment that offered on-site individualized consultation. Students actively engaged and asked questions, creating a positive and interactive atmosphere. Overall, the lecture successfully enhanced students’ knowledge and preparedness for U.S. study plans.
