
一、活動重點及目的:
本次講座旨在探討全球化與全球南方(Global South)思潮的影響下,雙語教育逐步轉向以全球公民教育為核心,強調參與、對話,以及多元聲音的可見性,藉此持續滾動式修正臺灣雙/英語教育的發展方向,並致力尋找最適合的雙語教學模式,培養具備全球視野、批判思考能力與連結在地意識的學習者。透過本次講座,期望協助各教師聚焦臺灣高等教育中EMI、ESP及EMI-ESP協作模式的最新發展與趨勢。
This lecture aims to explore how globalization and Global South perspectives are reshaping bilingual education toward a focus on global citizenship education. It emphasizes participation, dialogue, and the visibility of diverse voices, while supporting the continuous and adaptive refinement of Taiwan’s bilingual/English-medium education policies. The lecture also seeks to identify the most suitable bilingual teaching models for cultivating learners with a global outlook, critical thinking skills, and a strong sense of local engagement. Through this lecture, participants are expected to gain insights into the latest developments and trends in EMI, ESP, and EMI–ESP collaborative models within Taiwan’s higher education context.
二、活動特色及執行情形:
本次講座特別邀請成功大學鄒文莉教授蒞臨,分享其如何建構更具回應性與教育公平公正的雙語教育新思維,並探討人工智慧時代的來臨,促使教育典範由知識的傳遞(knowledge)轉向知識的生成與實踐(knowledging),語言亦由靜態的知識系統轉為動態且情境化的語言使用(languaging)歷程。而EMI作為微觀-中觀-宏觀層次的知識認知論過濾器,可藉由其介導知識獲取、流通和識別,形塑何種知識得以被看見與認可。本次活動不僅提供拓展teaching agency的嶄新概念,也促進教師對EMI教學呈現的彈性變通,對未來EMI課程中師生互動有更清晰的思維。
We specially invite Professor Wen-Li Zou from National Cheng Kung University to share her perspectives on constructing a more responsive and equitable approach to bilingual education. The talk will also address how the advent of the AI era is transforming educational paradigms—from the transmission of knowledge to the generation of “knowledging,” and from language as a static system to a dynamic, contextualized process of “languaging.” Furthermore, EMI is examined as an epistemological filter operating across micro-, meso-, and macro-levels, mediating how knowledge is acquired, circulated, and recognized, and thus shaping what kinds of knowledge are made visible and valued. This lecture not only introduces innovative concepts for expanding teaching agency, but also encourages greater flexibility and adaptability in EMI pedagogy, offering clearer insights into the interaction between teachers and students in future EMI classrooms.
