
一、活動重點及目的
本系列課程旨在協助學生於短時間內有效提升英語能力,並加深對國際健康與醫療議題之理解。課程以全英語進行,並由專業授課教師依據 CEFR B1 以上程度設計五大主題。
課程不僅強化學生在學術領域的英語溝通能力,也協助學生在未來參與 EMI 課程、海外交換或國際職涯發展時,具備更紮實的語言與跨文化溝通基礎。
This series of courses aims to help students significantly improve their English proficiency within a short period while deepening their understanding of global health and medical issues. The courses are conducted entirely in English and designed by professional instructors based on CEFR level B1 and above.
These courses strengthen students’ academic English communication skills and help them build a solid foundation for future EMI courses, overseas exchange, and international career development.
二、活動特色及執行情形
本系列課程採「英語閱讀 × 主題討論 × 生活連結」方式授課。五場課程皆從專業原文材料出發,搭配生活化提問引導學生討論,讓學生能在理解內容後以英語清楚表達個人觀點,提升專業語彙運用與跨領域思辨能力。
This course series adopts a teaching approach combining “English reading × thematic discussion × real-life connections.” Each of the five sessions is based on authentic professional materials, guided by practical discussion questions that help students articulate their ideas in English after understanding the content. This approach enhances their use of academic vocabulary and interdisciplinary critical thinking skills.
(1)11/06 製造更好的流感疫苗
課程聚焦於通用型流感疫苗研究與流感疫苗接種議題。學生透過閱讀理解與開放式討論,探討疫苗研發目的、流感變異與疫苗接種策略,展現高度英語參與與批判式思考。
This session focused on universal flu vaccine research and vaccination issues. Through reading and open discussions, students explored vaccine development goals, influenza variations, and vaccination strategies, demonstrating strong English participation and critical thinking.
(2)11/07 糖尿病:別再浪費錢吃魚油了!
課程從日常生活問題切入(如是否補充維他命),帶領學生閱讀與分析魚油對糖尿病無效的研究。學生踴躍分享個人經驗並討論維持健康的方式,展現良好語言運用。
This session began with everyday questions such as whether to take supplements. Students read and analyzed research showing fish oil’s ineffectiveness for diabetes. They actively shared personal experiences and discussed ways to stay healthy, demonstrating solid language skills.
(3)11/11 免疫系統常見的迷思
學生學習辨識並釐清免疫系統常見迷思,了解提升免疫力方法的科學依據。透過詞彙講解、案例與討論,學生能以英語正確描述免疫系統功能並提出見解,課堂互動熱絡。
Students learned to identify and clarify common myths about the immune system and examined scientific evidence behind boosting immunity. Through vocabulary explanations, case examples, and discussions, they accurately described immune system functions in English and shared their views.
(4)11/13 重探現代健康飲食
課程聚焦健康飲食原則、飲食習慣與文化差異。學生學習以英語描述飲食喜好、健康選擇與飲食建議,並延伸文章內容進行反思,語言與內容能力同步提升。
This session focused on principles of healthy eating, dietary habits, and cultural differences. Students practiced expressing food preferences, healthy choices, and dietary advice in English, while extending their reflections based on the reading content.
(5)11/14 醫療旅遊,無憂慮無國界?
課程探討醫療旅遊概念、跨國醫療服務與醫療保險議題。學生透過小組討論分析醫療旅遊利弊,並以英語闡述自身觀點,展現良好語言表達與國際視野。
This session explored the concept of medical tourism, cross-border medical services, and insurance issues. Through group discussions, students analyzed its advantages and disadvantages and articulated their perspectives in English, showing strong communication skills and global awareness.
三、活動之質量化指標
參加人數共 12 人。整體學生滿意度皆高於 94%。
A total of 12 students participated.Overall student satisfaction exceeded 94%.
