編號A: 回憶與印記
In this artwork titled "Memories and Imprints,"I depict the unique experiences of a freshman facing the challenges of the pandemic. Although we could only attend classes remotely, interacting with classmates felt like connecting with online friends. Yet, this time allowed us to forge deep friendships in the virtual world. The vibrant colors in the painting represent our enthusiasm as we gathered in front of our screens, showing that even at a distance, our hearts remained connected. Participating in the rock band club's showcase was one of the most exhilarating parts of my college life. The artwork is filled with musical elements, symbolizing the resonance and passion we found through music. The essence of college life lies in those unforgettable moments, including the amusing stories of oversleeping and skipping classes, which all become imprints of our youth. This piece not only reflects on those special days but also aims to convey the vibrant spirit of youth and a love for life that I hope the viewers can feel.
編號B: About I was watching Shakespeare that day.
It was the first week of school, I was going to class, because I arrived early, and there was another class in the classroom, so I found an open space outside the classroom to sit down and watch Shakespeare and wait for class, and soon a cleaning aunt took the elevator to take out the trash, I thought that they were really hard to help us keep the campus tidy, although I couldn't help them do their part, but I still thanked the cleaning aunts with a grateful heart, so I filmed this scene.
編號C: 中山醫的溫暖瞬間
Every day, I pass by this entrance on my way to and from school, where people are always rushing by. One evening at dusk, as I was heading toward the food court, I saw an elderly man holding a drink stumble and fall hard while climbing the stairs, spilling his drink. I hesitated, unsure if I should step forward to help. Suddenly, I noticed that the busy crowd around me had stopped, and several people rushed over with tissues to assist him. Inspired by the enthusiasm of my fellow students from Chung Shan Medical University, I quickly offered my own tissues. Although I’ve only recently moved to Taichung, I’ve already discovered the most beautiful part of this campus—the kindness and character of its students. That day, I realized the importance of stepping up to help others in need, and I hope that next time, I can be the first to lend a helping hand.
編號D: CSMU impression: Features, Culture, and Scenery
Everyday life at Chung Shan Medical University is filled with the presence of unsung heroes who quietly safeguard our campus experience. Besides, the campus itself offers unique charms, like the escalators in Jengshin Hall. They not only facilitate movement but also brighten mornings as I notice keychains hanging from fellow students' backpacks, adding cheer to the start of my day. These everyday moments reflect the features, culture, and scenery of the campus, inspiring me to create this piece of artwork.
編號E: The spiral staircase
The spiral staircase is a symbol of CSMU, a symbol that reminds me of my journey in CSMU, and many of others‘. As our life in CSMU began, we started to face challenges after challenges. There are countless skills and knowledge to learn, and we try our best to keep up with the study. From time to time we might be disappointed, we might failed ourselves, we might even took a step back and think if we made the right choice. Nonetheless, we always end up moving forward, for we wonder: What will it look like at the top of the staircase? Curiosity draws us to move forward, whilst time gently pushes us from behind. As a result, we venture into the unknown out of curiosity, and out of necessity, till the day comes where we are awarded the white coat, signifying our dedication for the medical profession. However, I think it’s not the ceremony that marks our journey in CSMU. The spiral staircase is a piece of CSMU, a piece of countless students, and a piece of our moments in CSMU.
編號F: 熱情
With the grand acoustics of the Jenshin Hall, the sound of violin and piano filled the air, creating an atmosphere brimming with passion and jollification. The marble interior of the hall amplified every nuance, enhancing every fluctuation of each note. The passion to music hence light up our spirits with every finger drop. The heaviness of study thus diminished away with every bow stroke. Playing music, somehow, not only became an antidote for stress of study, but also perpetuated the moment of my college life in CSMU.
編號G: 夕陽西下,快樂小徑
Behind the Zhengxin Building lies a serene path that feels like a secret haven, known to only a few. Near the elevator on the first floor, this pathway holds a magic that words can scarcely capture. Lined with trees and vibrant flowers on both sides, it’s a tranquil escape from the bustle of daily life. Every time I stroll along this path after a long day of classes, my exhaustion seems to melt away, replaced by a profound sense of joy and contentment. The sight of the delicate pink flowers swaying gently in the breeze fills my heart with warmth, especially when the soothing rays of the sunset bathe the scene in a golden glow. In that fleeting moment, it feels as if all the pain and worries of life have disappeared. Time seems to pause, leaving only pure happiness, as if tomorrow’s struggles will never come.
編號H: The Stairway to Growth(成長的階梯)
This drawing depicts the side staircase of Chengxin Building at Chung Shan Medical University, a place I pass by every day on my way to class, and it has become a quiet symbol of routine and persistence. The staircase, surrounded by lush greenery and tiled walls, represents both simplicity and familiarity in my daily routine. I used charcoal to capture the textures of the plants, the smoothness of the tiles, and the depth of the stairs. Through this artwork, I wanted to celebrate the understated charm of my surroundings and how these seemingly simple scenes contribute to the experience of being a student. To me, this staircase is not just a passage but also a metaphor for growth and the journey of education.
編號I: The Unfinished Scenery
As a freshman, leaving Kaohsiung to study in Taichung has been a completely new experience for me. Living on my own means that I have to become more independent and gradually learn how to plan and manage my life. The campus itself feels unfamiliar, almost like an unexplored “black zone”—a space filled with uncertainty and hesitation, waiting for me to uncover its secrets. One of my favorite places at Chung Shan Medical University is the Shaoguang Green Lawn.(韶光綠地)Every time I stand there, watching the passing crowds and the gentle sway of the plants,it soothes my anxious heart.Although I’m still overwhelmed by confusion and uncertainty(my only drawing tool is a single mechanical pencil).I firmly believe that someday I will discover my own dreams and goals.I will become more familiar with the campus, build meaningful friendships, and gradually add vibrant colors to my world.
